The City of Glendale will present the 21st annual Cruise Night car show at Brand Boulevard on Saturday, July 19, which will feature live entertainment, family fun and activities.
The event is free to attend and will showcase more than 350 classic pre-1979 cars. The live entertainment will include performances by The Beatles tribute band Abbey Road and the 1960s beat garage rock band The Kingsmen, which is celebrating the 50th anniversary of their greatest hit, “Louie Louie.”
There will be trophies awarded between band sets and, for the first time ever, a special fireworks spectacular will occur at the end of the show.
“This event brings over 35,000 people per year,” said Onnig Bulanikian, Community Services manager of the City of Glendale. “We get many Glendale residents who enter their cars in the show proudly displaying their vehicles. The businesses on Brand are happy since the event brings so many people.”
The event is hosted by the City of Glendale in conjunction with the Downtown Glendale Association and presented by the Brand Boulevard of Cars.
Cruise Night takes place from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. For more information, visit www.glendalecruisenight.com or call (818) 548-6464.
