Women At Work announced that an additional $34,000 has been raised towards a $50,000 Women At Work Founders Challenge Grant. These funds will help provide services to job seekers, both women and men, and to job providers in the San Gabriel Valley, Crescenta Valley and northeast Los Angeles.
“It is exciting to see the community support for our agency, especially since this is Women At Work’s 35th year. We are so grateful to everyone who gave generously, and who held special events so that people could learn about our important work,” said Uma Shrivastava, president of the board of directors.
Women At Work, a career and job resource center, helps clients reach their full earning and employment potential in a supportive environment. The agency provides employment services including career guidance, job search support groups, job counseling, resume critiques, interview preparation and computer skills enhancement.
