“Our Business is Your Business”
Welcoming a New CV Chamber Member
The chamber welcomes our newest member. Glendale Federal Credit Union, a full service credit union, was founded in 1951 and originally serviced the financial needs of the city workers of Glendale such as police, fire and utility workers. The credit union has since formed a partnership with the Friends of the Library and now offers a credit union membership to anyone. Glendale Federal Credit Union currently has about 4,300 members.
Three years ago this October, the Glendale Federal Credit Union built its new offices on the former site of the Grinders restaurant on Wilson in Glendale. It offers free parking to members.
The Glendale Federal Credit Union is a strong and stable credit union. When you join, you become one of the owners of the credit union. They offer free checking if you sign up for e-statements and also offer very competitive loan rates and credit cards that start as low as 9.95%.
Carolynn Lyons, the Business Development director of the Glendale Federal Credit Union, is a resident of La Crescenta and is excited to be the newest member of the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce! She loves working at the credit union and is proud to say, “The credit union has a nice family feel to it.” Members enjoy a comfortable, friendly financial environment and great service. Carolynn worked for a printing business for 37 years and came to the credit union after retiring. She celebrates six years with the company and is very happy about her decision to come work for the Glendale Federal Credit Union!
