Glendale Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire on the northbound Glendale (2) freeway one half mile north of the Mountain Street exit at 2:13 p.m. this afternoon.

“It was a single vehicle fire that [started] in the engine [of the vehicle]. There was only one occupant and no injuries,” said Brandy Villanueva, GFD spokeswoman.

There were two engines on scene, GFD had extinguished the fire and left the scene at 2:54 p.m.
