Life Scout Leaves ‘Benchmark’

IMG_1916 WEB
Nicholas Zamora, a Life Scout from troop 317, recently completed his Eagle project on Tongva Peak. He built a stone bench to replace the ever-revolving wood bench that has been destroyed many times. The bench will be used by many hikers for decades to come. It will hold a future historical bronze plaque on the mountain ranges one can see from Tongva Peak.

The plaque is being underwritten by the Historical Society of the Crescenta Valley.
