Welcome to Montrose, Mr. Mayor!

In all my years attending Montrose Shopping Park Assn. board meetings, I don’t think we have ever had a mayor join us. That all changed last week when Glendale Mayor Zareh Sinanyan and City Clerk Ardy Kassakhian came to share and lend support. They picked a good day because we had a full breakfast buffet including maple sausage biscuits, yogurt granola parfaits and freshly baked croissants courtesy of ETC…Gourmet Kitchen, which is opening in the MSP very soon. Mayor Zareh is looking forward to hosting a city council meeting in Montrose, too! I took some fun pics that I’ll be posting on our Montrose Shopping Park Facebook page. The ‘Sons’ Ride Honolulu!

What do The T Room and TV show “Sons Of Anarchy” have in common? They’re actually sharing the same air space on the recent video “Inside The Final Ride: Lay Down the Law” posted on the SOA Facebook page. As a matter of fact, I got this pic of star Jax and “Bobby” when they were here filming their last episode right in the Montrose Shopping Park. Whoda thunk? It’s Parents Night Out!

Maggie Kavarian, City of Glendale’s Community Service supervisor, met with the MSP marketing committee to discuss a great idea. Parents Night Out is now coming to fruition! Just think – for only $15 a child, your children can have an evening of pizza and movies at the Sparr Heights Community Center while you parents have a date night in the Montrose Shopping Park! The first one is to take place Friday, Oct. 17 from 6 p.m. ‘til midnight. What a deal! Plus the merchants of the MSP have a special gift for you. More about that next week.
