On Sunday, Sept. 21, family and friends participated in Chamlian Armenian School’s Family Fun Day Carnival, organized by the school’s Parent Support Committee.

Students, parents and extended family members enjoyed a festive day filled with carnival-style rides, booth games, food, music, special musical performances by Heibert Sarian and Laura Melody, and a dance performance by MihranK Productions.

Chamlian parent, and ANCA national board member Raffi Hamparian addressed the students and parents on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia and the 40th anniversary of the school.

“With our hearts we wish for a strong, united, and free Armenia. With our minds, we use our creativity to strengthen that free Armenia. But without our working hands … it is less meaningful. We need three things to work together: our hearts, our minds and our hands,” said Hamparian. “Same goes for our school, Chamlian. We love our school and put our ideas forward to make the school an even better one. But, at the end of the day, it’s the volunteers, administration, teachers and students, who with their hands, make this school a special place. I leave you today with a word of encouragement to put your hearts, minds, and hands together for the Armenian nation and Chamlian.”
