NEWS FROM THE CV YOUTH TOWN COUNCIL » LAUREN HARVEY

The Crescenta Valley Youth Town Council (CVYTC) continues to run like a well-oiled machine. Its seven members remain dedicated to their roles, despite the distractions of college applications, AP classes, and busy high school lives. The team is quickly filling up its schedule with a myriad of fun activities for the community.

In recent news, CVYTC will be working behind the scenes at the sheriff station’s Haunted Jail throughout this week. This thrilling event runs through Friday and provides spooky Halloween fun for the whole family.

The committee also has big plans for future events. As the holidays draw near, the Town Council will host a holiday-themed talent show for two of our local convalescent homes, Valley Vista and Valley Oaks. All members of the community are welcome to share their talents at this event. More information will be provided in the near future.

In addition, CVYTC has plans to host an “Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow” event, where community members may create their own arts and crafts to sell. This event will give the younger community a taste of what it’s like in the business world, as well as a creative outlet. The “Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow” event is still in the making, and more details are to follow.

In sartorial news, after weeks of sifting through designs, colors, and sizes, our council members have selected CVYTC shirts! If you see any of the committee sporting a lovely La Crescenta-green shirt, be sure to give them a wave!

The Crescenta Valley Youth Town Council has much in store for La Crescenta. More family and community events are being planned and coordinated. After all, the town council wants nothing more than to bring our community closer together and maintain the family atmosphere that connects our neighborhoods.
