I guess that makes me one of the “best people” because I love to eat and in the Crescenta Valley there are some really good choices for cuisine! Now here is your chance to try some. The Taste of the Foothills is coming soon! Get your taste buds ready to sample some excellent local food on Dec. 10 (the original date in November had to be rescheduled to Dec. 10 due to construction at the site where the event is held). Take a break from your holiday shopping and come out and enjoy this festive occasion! While you’re doing some hometown nibbling, enjoy entertainment by the Prom Plus Club dancers to the tunes of the ‘40s and ’50s. Music provided by the CVHS Jazz Band. For car enthusiasts, a few members of the Early Rodders Car Club will be there! The festivities will be at the Marketplace Shopping Center (Ralphs parking lot) at 2629 Foothill Blvd., La Crescenta on Wednesday, Dec. 10 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. A wristband gets you unlimited tastings! Get your holiday shopping done early while enjoying musical performances and a delicious food truck! The first 200 shoppers will receive a free shopping bag. The shopping is on Saturday, Nov. 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. Luke’s of the Mountains Church (corner of Rosemont and Foothill in La Crescenta). Don’t forget! La Crescenta Avenue off-ramp clean up is on Saturday, Nov. 8 by the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the CV Town Council. Take pride in your community. Come Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. and help keep La Crescenta clean!
