Boutique Vendor Opportunity
Vendor spaces are still available for the annual Prom Plus Holiday Boutique on the campus of St. Luke’s of the Mountains Church on Saturday, Nov. 15. The popular boutique is a community favorite and a great way to kick off the holiday shopping season. The boutique is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Rosemont Preserve Restoration Day
The public is invited to the next Rosemont Preserve Restoration Day on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. to help protect the natural habitat at Rosemont Preserve. Plans include planting wildflower and native plant seeds.

A group will also be at the intersection of Rosemont and Orange avenues at 9 a.m. celebrating the dedication of the Crescenta Commons.

For those who plan to work at the preserve, wear sturdy shoes, comfortable clothes and garden gloves (long pants and sleeves are recommended). Tools will be provided.

The Preserve is located in La Crescenta at the north end of Rosemont Avenue, just past the chain link fence. Parking is available at Two Strike Park at 5107 Rosemont Ave.

This event is free to the public, all ages, no reservations required. Rain cancels event. Sorry, no pets please.

CV Weekly Hosts Coffee with Assemblymember Gatto
The Crescenta Valley Weekly invites the public to have coffee with Assemblyman Mike Gatto. On Monday, Nov. 10 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Assemblyman Gatto will be at Montrose Bakery, 2325 Honolulu Ave., to listen to feedback on community issues and bill ideas for 2015.

All are welcome.

Veterans Day Celebration
American Legion Post 288 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1614 will honor veterans and active duty military personnel with a vigil at the Two Strike Park War Memorial on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, from noon to 3 p.m. Immediately after the vigil at 3 p.m., members of the two organizations will hold a ceremony, Salute to the Military, conducted by the Crescenta Valley High School JROTC under the leadership of Col. Dave Worley USAF (U.S. Air Force) and a flag retirement ceremony led by Boy Scout Troop 288.

All are invited to the ceremony to honor veterans and active military personnel.

MVSNA Annual Meeting
The Montrose/Verdugo City/Sparr Heights Neighborhood Association (MVSNA) will hold its annual meeting on Nov. 13 at the Sparr Heights Community Center, 1613 Glencoe Way, in the community room from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

On the program will be an informational discussion on the potential for Sparr Heights to become one of Glendale’s historic districts and other neighborhood issues. Light refreshments will be served.
