A suspect walked away with an undetermined amount of cash on Monday from the Bank of America in the 500 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge.
About 11 a.m. a suspect described as a male Hispanic, 25 to 30 years old with a stocky build entered the bank and passed a note to one of the tellers demanding money. The teller complied and the man exited the bank into the parking lot, said Sgt. Ray Harley, Crescenta Valley
Sheriff’s Station.
“[Witnesses described] the suspect as dressed all in black and the long sleeve black shirt he was wearing had thin white vertical pin stripes,” Harley added.
In addition the suspect wore a baseball-type cap with the bill to the back of his head. The cap read “NYPD.”
There was at least one customer in the bank at the time. There was no weapon seen and no one was injured.
Anyone who may have seen the suspect enter or exit the bank or has any information on the incident is asked to contact the CV Sheriff’s Station at (818) 248- 3464.
