At St. Franics High School, the Golden Knights attacked a league title when they took on Salesian. 

Head Coach Jim Bonds is coaching his 15th season at St. Francis and this will be his first league title.

Facts: This is the fifth and last Angelus League game of the season. Last week St. Francis defeated La Salle 60-0 and Salesian lost to Harvard Westlake 28-14. Both teams compete for the CIF SS Southeast Division championship.

In the polls: St. Francis is ranked 1st in the CIF SS Southeast Division poll. Salesian is not ranked.

News to note: The last time St. Francis played Salesian was in 1974. This is the 10th meeting between the two schools.

League championship at stake: The Golden Knights have clinched a share of the Angelus League title and will win the title outright with a victory over Salesian.

Long time coming: St. Francis last won a league crown in 1997 when it claimed the Mission League title.

Angelus League: Three of the top ten teams in the CIF Southeast Division poll come from the Angelus League: St. Francis (1), Cathedral (3) and Harvard Westlake (10).
