Community Invited to ‘Explore Bethlehem’

By Jason KUROSU

CV Church will be hosting its third annual Explore Bethlehem event this Sunday, Dec. 14 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the church parking lot. The event will feature an interactive live nativity scene, along with a number of booths offering activities including candle dipping, pottery and bracelet making and more.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to take pictures with various animals on site, including lambs, goats, ponies and a donkey, courtesy of Ponderosa Pony Parties in Tujunga.

“We love offering Explore Bethlehem to the families in our community,” said Beth Krausse, children’s pastor. “It is a wonderful time to create memories and spend time together. It is also a fun, safe place to gather and connect with other friends in the community, and everything is offered at no cost. “

According to Krausse, the wooden booths were built over the summer by CV Church members and volunteers who also made the 17 nativity costumes used in the event.

“We simply want to bring people together,” said Krausse. “We feel it is a great way to start off the Christmas season.”

The event is free and open to the public of all ages.

CV Church is located at 4001 La Crescenta Ave. in La Crescenta.
