The Crescenta Valley Youth Town Council has been searching for the local home with the best Christmas lights, best decorations and overall most festive display of the holiday spirit to present its annual Spirit Award.

The seven members of the youth council traveled throughout the valley to see which house had invested the most work into their display and from those homes they selected the best decorated house. Houses had to be located in Montrose and La Crescenta. The deadline was Dec. 10.

“The houses were judged by the seven girls,” said CV Youth Town Council member Jessy Shelton. “We each drove around and looked at the houses, took pictures and then compared notes as to which one each liked best. Then we decided.”

The names of the winning homes will be made tonight, Thursday, Dec. 18 at the CV Town Council meeting that begins at 7 p.m. at the La Crescenta Library, 2809 Foothill Blvd. The Spirit Award will be presented at the general meeting. All are invited to attend.
