Workday at Rosemont Preserve
The community is invited for a restoration day at the Rosemont Preserve on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. New deer cages around some of the newly planted trees will be built. There will also be more invasive plant removal along with some trail maintenance.
The Preserve is located in La Crescenta at the north end of Rosemont Avenue, just past the chain link fence. Parking is available at Two Strike Park, 5107 Rosemont Ave.
Those planning to attend should wear sturdy shoes, comfortable work clothes and garden gloves (long pants and sleeves are recommended). If you have any of the following tools, please consider bringing them: shovels, spades, loppers, hatchets, clippers. Other tools and equipment will be available.

The Los Angeles County Fire Dept. has posted its Firefighter Trainee examination bulletin on its website. Applications will be accepted for a period of two days beginning Wednesday, Jan. 21 at 1 p.m. Pacific Standard Time until Friday, Jan. 23 at 1 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.
