PTSA Honorary Service Awards
The Crescenta Valley High School Parent/Teacher/Student Assn. is seeking nominations for the annual Honorary Service Awards. Do you know an outstanding teacher or administrator or a very special person who has devoted time to helping youth in our community? CVHS PTSA will give out their Honorary Service Awards at the annual Founders Day celebration on March 2.

Email nominations to Kevin Cordova Brookey (klcordovabrookey@gmail.com) or Joanne Pingry (joannepingry@gmail.com). Nominations can be submitted to the PTA mailbox located in the CVHS teachers’ lounge. All nominations are due no later than Thursday, Jan. 29.

Clark Magnet Info, Apps
Information for private school students residing in Glendale interested in enrolling at Clark Magnet High School next August is available online at www.gusdmagnetandflag.com or at the Clark Magnet High School office, 4747 New York Ave. in La Crescenta; at any of the Glendale Unified School District’s four middle schools: Roosevelt, Rosemont, Toll or Wilson; and at the Student Support Services office, Room 203, at the Administration Center, 223 N. Jackson St., Glendale.

Applications are available online. Those without Internet access may complete the online application in person at the Administration Center by 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 30. This is the deadline for all applications to be submitted.

Applications submitted after Jan. 30 will not be included in the electronic lottery, but will be placed on a separate waiting list.

Approximately 350 students will be accepted into the ninth grade class. If more qualified students apply than there are openings, an electronic lottery will be conducted to fill the class.

Students entering Grades 10-12 may apply; however, only a few, if any, openings in these grade levels are anticipated and students will be placed on a waiting list. Total school enrollment is limited to about 1,100 students.
