Aug. 24, 1928 – Nov. 2, 2014

Rita, beloved mother and dear friend to all who knew her, was born at Queen of the Angels Hospital in Los Angeles to Clara G. McKinnon and Lawrence A. McKinnon in the summer of 1928. She received her Catholic elementary education in Beverly Hills and attended high school at Saint Monica’s High School in Santa Monica. She was married in 1949 to Bruce W. Nigg at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Beverly Hills.

After being widowed in 1970, Rita worked for Tax Corporation of America in Montrose and later at Glendale College. She is survived by her three children, Kathleen, Darise and Eric, six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in summer 2015 at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Beverly Hills.
