Once again my wife has loaned me her space so that I may take the opportunity to sing the praises of Revelation Tops, the dream store she opened with her sister, Carole, back in 2003. Both of the “Revelation Sisters” worked for the original Revelation when it was a multi-store, state-wide chain. Mary served in various capacities for 20 years there, working her way up to vice-president with full buying responsibilities. Carole spent a number of years there as store manager for its Thousand Oaks, Burbank and Porter Ranch units. The corporate Revelation is no more, but Mary and Carole keep the good-goods coming at Revelation Tops located here in the Montrose Shopping Park at 2321½ Honolulu Ave.

You can buy several different tops to go with that same pair of jeans and have a completely different outfit each time. Every year fashions change. So when the “Revelation Sisters” attend their shows and visit markets around the country, they watch what the store owners and “industry insiders” are wearing. The #1 trend that you will be seeing in a big way this year is longer tops being worn over leggings. Many of the tops have uneven hems. Lots of vests and lightweight jackets are being shown to layer over them. You’ll find young, old, heavy, thin, tall and short ladies all wearing this new look. It’s hot!
Revelation Tops updates its inventory almost daily. You may come back just one week after your last visit and find the entire store has changed!  They usually buy only one of each size, so there is always something new to try. Nothing hangs around for very long. If it’s slow selling, it goes quickly to the 50%-off rack. All the tops are unique in style and pattern. You won’t find any “basics” here.
