Get Informed – Glendale City Clerk Ardy Kassakhian to Host Meeting
The Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce is hosting an election information night in conjunction with the Glendale City Clerk office on Monday, March 30 at the Sparr Heights Community Center. City Clerk Ardy Kassakhian will be talking about the most pressing issues facing the City, the upcoming ballot measures you will be voting on and how important your vote is. He will also give you valuable election information. On April 7 residents of Glendale will be voting to fill Glendale City Council seats, two GUSD board of education seats, two GCC board of trustees seats and four ballot measures. Your vote is important and does matter. On Monday night, you will be able to hear about the four ballot measures you will be voting on. These measures can be confusing and misleading if you don’t have enough information to make an informed decision.
Measure C pertains to city council compensation, Measure D pertains to districting for the city council members, Measure E pertains to the GUSD school board election process and Measure O pertains to increasing the transient occupancy tax. This night is a great time to understand what all of this means. Don’t forget that you can vote by mail and can download an application by logging onto www.glendalevotes.org. It must reach the City Clerk’s office by March 31. Help us get out the vote in the Crescenta Valley by getting yourself and your friends and neighbors informed!
If you want to see how our city government works, please come to the Glendale City Council in Your Neighborhood Tuesday night March 31 when City Council will hold its weekly meeting at the Sparr Heights Community Center. You will be able to ask questions of the City Council about any concerns you have for the Far North part of the city.
