First ArtWalk of the Season, Memorial Day and the Arts and Crafts Festival
Please join us this Saturday, May 16 for our first ArtWalk of the year. It will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. along the 2300 block of Honolulu Avenue. Come out and take a stroll through town and see the artists, grab some lunch and do a little shopping. We will also have light music playing during the event. It is a great day to come out and enjoy the beautiful town of Montrose with your entire family.
Also once again, the Montrose Chamber and the Montrose Shopping Park Association will be holding a Memorial Day service on Monday, May 25 at 8 a.m. at the Vietnam War Memorial in Montrose. It is a simple ceremony remembering not only the local heroes who we lost during the Vietnam War, but all the heroes from every war who gave their lives in service to our country. The Vietnam War Memorial is located at the northwest corner of Honolulu Avenue and Ocean View Boulevard. Please join us for this brief ceremony in remembrance.
The 32nd Annual Arts and Crafts Festival hosted by the Montrose Shopping Park Association is happening the first full weekend in June, on June 6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and June 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. More than 300 fine artists, crafters, food vendors, California Certified farmers, musicians and entertainers will make their way to Montrose on festival weekend. There will be a wonderful array of handmade crafts, jewelry, fine art, textiles, flowers and much more. The festival has grown into an event for the entire family and features live entertainment, a children’s activity area and an expanded international food court with plenty of seating. The weekly farmers market will still be on Sunday and is incorporated into the event so you can still pick up all your favorite local produce, flowers and other items like locally produced honey and handmade soaps.
