In loving memory of Tyler Mathew Sikora
Time slips by so fast – can it be five years since our dear Tyler left us on May 20, 2010? We miss and love him more today than yesterday. Tyler was loved by everyone who knew him and he was a perfect role model for a 15-year-old. My granddaughter Danielle Lynch was a classmate of Tyler’s. She shared this: “Tyler treated everyone with love-kindness-compassion and saw the best in everyone; a true friend who loved his family and friends and his four-legged fur people-dogs-cats-and his Bugsy, his hamster. Tyler we love and miss you so much and you will always remain in our hearts forever and ever.”

Hurrah for GYO
I would like to congratulate the Glendale Youth Orchestra (GYO) on a fantastic 26th season. On Sunday, May 17, all 55 members of the orchestra played with skill expertise beyond their years and with a lot of heart. Brad Keimach, conductor, season after season challenges our musicians to play their best and they never let him down.
The Season Finale Concert featured five concerto winners who showed poise, passion and grace as they played front and center on the Alex Theatre stage. The roof was blown off the Alex Theatre as the orchestra played Beethoven’s 5th Symphony with power and precision. The audience could barely wait to start applauding, jumping to their feet for a standing ovation as the last note was played.
Our members showed at the Season Finale Concert at the Alex Theatre the power and importance of music education.
Bravo!!
