During the month of August, Flintridge Bookstore & Coffeehouse kicks off its back to school season by carrying a full line of backpacks, lunch bags, and school accessories from Sydney Paige® Inc., a Buy One|Give One company.

With each purchase of a Sydney Paige® backpack, the company donates a matching bag to a child in need. All donated backpacks are filled with age-appropriate school supplies. Flintridge Bookstore & Coffeehouse has designated the children of Northwest Pasadena to receive the donated backpacks filled with school supplies. The backpacks and school supplies will be given to the 300 children attending the Robinson Park Back to School event.

“We are so incredibly appreciative that Flintridge Bookstore & Coffeehouse has chosen the children of Northwest Pasadena to receive the donated backpacks,” said Courtney Brockmeyer, founder & CEO of the backpack company. “The bookstore has been a wonderful supporter of Sydney Paige® from the start and we love the relationship we have with them and the city of La Cañada Flintridge.”

The collaboration between the company and the bookstore enables children in need to start the school year off with brand new, high quality backpacks filled with school supplies including notebooks, pencils, markers, rulers, erasers and much more.
