A “contained” stand-off in La Tuna Canyon has prompted Los Angeles Police Dept. to close several streets in the area, according to LAPD spokesman.
The suspect is not yet in custody but the LAPD Foothill Division stated there was no danger to residents.
The closures include: La Tuna Canyon exit off the Foothill (210) freeway. No traffic will be allowed to travel eastbound on La Tuna Canyon Road at the freeway exit.
Lowell Avenue will be closed from Honolulu to Altura avenues. And La Tuna Canyon Road to
Tujunga Canyon Boulevard to Elmhurst Drive.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
