Before the official start of school, Crescenta-Cañada Cooperative Nursery School held a water play day to welcome new and returning students and families.  Incoming Darling Ducklings (3 year olds) and Busy Bears (4 year olds) and their siblings played at water tables, blew bubbles, built sand castles, played on the playground equipment, and had a great time, while parents looked on and chatted at the school grounds.

The water play day was an opportunity for students and parents to meet teachers and classmates, and for new students to get acquainted with the school play area. By the end of the day, everyone had made some new friends, and parents and students were looking forward to the start of the school year.

Crescenta-Cañada Cooperative Nursery School (CCNS) has served the community for over 55 years. Parents manage and guide the cooperative preschool with two salaried teachers to create a program to meet the social, emotional, intellectual and physical needs of their children. Parents also assist in the classroom once or twice per month and work together on various committees.
