Celebrating Anniversaries
Last week at our October mixer, we recognized businesses and residents that marked a noteworthy anniversary with the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce. These members have been with us for five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35… even 40 years! Sure, there are members who have been a part of the Chamber for 23, 7 or 31 years, for example. We salute you as well! We’ll be recognizing you in years to come.
Bonner’s Party Rentals put on the mixer and what a party it was! They had cool Halloween decorations set up (note to self: contact them for my next Halloween party) and lots of delicious food and drink. We introduced new Chamber members, raffled off some great prizes and recognized our special guests for the night. Here are the members present that night who were celebrating anniversaries and upon whom we bestowed a commemorative key ring.
5-Year Members: Office People, Mindy Morrison; Christian Life Church, Randy Foster; Crescenta-Cañada Pet Hospital, James D. Speas DVM; CV Weekly, Robin Goldsworthy; St. Luke’s of the Mountains, Rev. Kirby Smith; Walgreens, Elainee Pantig Back.
15-Year Members: Amado Plumbing, Lynn & Maryann Amado; Clark Asset Management, Gary Clark; Riley & Associates, Mike Riley; S.I.G. Property Management, Mike Shaar.
20-Year Member: Jenkins Property Management, Bea Blessley.
25-Year Members: Bruce’s Automotive, Bruce Bartels; La Crescenta Woman’s Club, Carol Huntwork.
35-Year Members: Andy’s Transfer & Storage, Joe Kroening; USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, Paul Craig, CEO.
40-Year Member: Crippen Mortuary, Robert Hansen (not present, but noteworthy!).
We value all of our members but especially our long-term members. Their loyalty means a lot to us and validates the work our volunteers carry out. They give us stability and we give it back to them. Together we make this community stronger.
“These businesses are certainly into the community,” said Jean Maluccio, past president of the Chamber, “and maybe the community’s into them!”
Please join us at our next mixer on Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 4011 La Crescenta Ave., La Crescenta. We will have a special program honoring nine veterans from World War II. That’s right…. World War II! There will be entertainment and other fun.
