LOW COST PET VACCINES

The City of Glendale City Clerk’s Office is sponsoring a low cost vaccination clinic for dogs and cats on Thursday, June 24 from 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m. in the small parking lot directly behind City Hall at 613 E. Broadway in Glendale. The City Clerk’s Office will provide dog/cat licensing services. Vet Care Vaccination Services, Inc. will offer physical exams, de-worming, flea control, nail trimming and other services. Dog vaccines are $6 for rabies; $19 for DHP+P; $18 for Bordetella. Identification micro-chips are $45. Cat vaccines are $6 for rabies; $20 for 4-in-1 (FVCRP). All dogs must be on a leash and cats must be in an enclosed container.

DEUKMEJIAN TO REOPEN, WORK DAY SCHEDULED
After 10 months of recuperating from the staggering Station Fire, Deukmejian Wilderness Park will be reopening to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 19. A movie will be shown from 8:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m. This is a free event.
In preparation for the reopening, the public is invited to “A Workday at the Deuk” this Saturday, June 12, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Help is needed to pull weeds, remove sand bags, install signs and more. Drinks and snacks will be provided. Workers should wear sturdy shoes/boots and bring water, hat, gloves, sunscreen and protective clothing.

SHERIFFS OPEN HOUSE THIS SATURDAY
Crescenta Valley Sheriffs Station is having its open house and safety fair on Saturday, June 12 from 10 a.m. to noon. Free admission. Station tours, a moon bounce and McGruff are just some of the things to see and do.
The station is located at 4554 Briggs Ave., La Cresenta.
