Village Boutique Grand Opening Saturday

Curious about Village Boutique? So am I. Owners Jackie and Christian Cuesta call Village the “hip younger sister” of Billy’s Boardshop. Jackie and Christian became the new owners of Billy’s Boardshop almost a year ago in November 2014. Since then, they have made many great changes to the store! The latest incarnation includes the addition of the Village Boutique. Here is what Jackie wanted to tell you about the changes: “Many people are wondering, ‘What’s going on with Billy’s Boardshop?’ Come see for yourself! Village Boutique, the hip younger sister of Billy’s Boardshop, has moved in and welcomes you to celebrate her grand opening Nov. 14 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Together Village and Billy’s will continue to serve the Montrose community as the premier one-of-a kind clothing store and family boardshop.

“As a family-based business in Montrose, we’ve been patrons of Billy’s Boardshop our whole lives. We were shocked to learn that the shop was for sale. With insight into the community and a love for Billy’s, we wanted to keep it alive while revitalizing the clothing selection. With a background in fashion merchandising, we hand-selected every item to bring to the community fresh and contemporary clothing styles for women, men and children. We continue to curate our clothing and accessories with practicality in mind, introducing Montrose to L.A.-based fashion designers and labels grown in California. We support the motto Shop Local First. We tailor to a crowd from the ages of 16 to 80 and truly do have something for everyone! We even have a few baby items and shoes for kids. We have expanded our UGGs brand and carry not only the famous UGG boot that everyone loves but we have UGG’s loungewear and accessories such as purses and higher end shoes! We carry the pajama brand PJ Salvage, Underella lingerie by Ella Moss, Michael Stars brand and Tommy Bahama for men and women. We carry men’s boutique brand clothing including Kennington, Goorin Bros hats and accessories for men, Roark and Vans. On Black Friday we will be fully stocked with many new kinds of Vans! In addition to our clothing label Village Brand, we’ve also added a sublimation machine to Billy’s for anyone wanting to start their own brand printing on boards and Ts at affordable prices. Twenty cans gets get you $10 off your $50 purchase, 40 cans gets you $20 off of your $75 purchase and 60 cans gets you $30 off of your $100 purchase!”
