For any fans of the popular Discovery Channel show “Mythbusters,” get set. Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage, co-hosts of the show, are touring on stage to test and bust myths in front of, and with help from, a live audience.
Since 2012, the pair have been touring North America, Australia and New Zealand with this live stage show and Jamie has said that this will be his last year. While the TV show goes on to it’s 15th season next year, the stage show will be absent one buster. So this is your last chance to see both together, in person, busting myths. From a bed of nails to super strength, they take on some of the everyday myths in not-so-everyday ways.
The show has 31 dates this fall, and 11 have already gone by. For us in the LA area, there are two chances to see the show without having to drive out of town. On Dec 6 and Dec 7, they will be performing in Thousand Oaks and Riverside, respectively. Luckily, CVWeekly has you covered.
We have two tickets to the Dec 7 show at the Fox Performing Arts Center in Riverside. And one lucky winner will get their chance to see myths busted live and in person. So what can you do to win? We are holding a social media contest through Twitter and Instagram.
You will need to bust a myth to win. Here is our urban myth from the Crescenta Valley: Students at Dunsmore Elementary say Hitler is buried under their school. Why do they say that? There is a historical basis that connects the campus of the school to the armed services– what is it?
Submit your answer and/or photos on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #CVWmyth. If there is more than one correct answer, the winning username will be drawn at random from the correct entries.
Good luck in the contest. Now let’s bust a myth!
