The Boy Scouts of Troop 317 from Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montrose went to El Capitan State Beach for a weekend of camping under the stars. Under the leadership and guidance of Scoutmaster David Januzik and Asst. Scoutmasters Nate Fitzgerald, Roly Quizon, Jose Salazar and Vinis Salazar, the boys went on an informative hiking along the beach, explored tide pools, and caught some waves with bodyboards. At night, it was identifying constellations and various programs around the campfire.

Boy Scouts Ethan Arellano, Rowan Fitzgerald, David Januzik, Ryan Januzik, Allister Quizon and Sean Salazar were joined by St. James Catholic Church Pack 314 Webelos Anthony Novoa and Edward Vu.
