Last week the MVCC enjoyed quite a mixer over at the Mountview Retirement Residence at 2640 Honolulu Ave. in Montrose. We enjoyed a big and enthusiastic crowd that day. Great food and snacks were prepared by Mountview’s kitchen and the staff at Mountview were a delight. We also had the chance to promote our 2010/2011 directory, courtesy of our friends Perry Cervera and Audri Ferguson. More on that in a moment.
We want to thank Lysa Gaignard for making this event such a success. Mountview’s hospitality was simply a wonder. As I mentioned in a previous column, it’s never easy when you’re confronted with the issue of assisted living for yourself or your loved ones. By the time you read this column, we’ll be nearing our deadline for our MVCC scholarships. If you’re a local area student or know of such a student who would be worthy of one of our scholarships, let us know. Deadline is Friday, June 11.
