Light Up a Life is an annual tradition celebrated throughout the United States to increase awareness and support of hospice care. On Thursday, Glendale Adventist Medical Center shared in the tradition by hosting a tree lighting ceremony to honor those who are loved but have passed on.

Light Up a Life is one way to acknowledge the beginning of the holiday season that offers support and love to those who may need it. Some of the participants attending the GAMC event made a donation for a tree light or an ornament that will hang on the tree. Each light and ornament represents a loved one who is being honored or memorialized. Proceeds will benefit GAMC hospice services and the Beyond Loss bereavement support programs at the hospital.
