»Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce “Our Business is Your Business”

Welcome Our New Assistant Executive Director

Please join me in welcoming the latest addition to the CV Chamber office staff. Taking over for the wonderful and talented Lisa Mitchell, who is preparing for a move to Idaho, is the equally wonderful and talented Robyn Forrand.

Robyn brings to the Chamber a wealth of clerical and office management skills from her previous job at EBCO, a successful construction and property maintenance company based in Tujunga. She is experienced in computers, accounting and client relations.

Client relations is her favorite part of the job. “I’m very social,” said Robyn. “I go out with friends regularly. I know so many people from my years of living in this community and I love meeting new ones. I also met lots of community residents working at Hexagon Automotive for years.”

Robyn moved to the Crescenta Valley from the San Fernando Valley in 1986.  It was here that she raised her two children, Robert and Samantha. They attended Robbin’s Nest Preschool, Lincoln and Fremont elementary schools and graduated from Crescenta Valley High.

“As a single mom, I have a lot of gratitude for this community,” said Robyn.  “The schools and the people here have been so good to my children. My kids are really great people! I can take some of the credit but the neighborhood did most of the job.”

This is the primary reason Robyn chose to work at the Chamber. She said she wants to give back to the community that gave so much to her family. “This community has had a huge impact on me. Now that my kids are grown and I have more time, I want to help support a community that can help others.”

When Robyn told her friend that she was working at the Chamber, her friend exclaimed, “That’s the perfect job for you!”  Robyn agrees. She believes a thriving business climate is very important to the health of a community. It saddens her to see empty storefronts. It is her goal as assistant executive director to help increase membership in the Chamber, to help promote businesses, and to build awareness of the Chamber’s activities.

Besides managing the office and socializing with friends, Robyn enjoys hiking in the local mountains. Deukmejian Wilderness Park and Switzer Falls are some of her favorite spots.

Stop by the Chamber office soon and say hello to Robyn Forrand.
