Famed for its warmly intimate and interactive stage-free musical experience,

Le Salon de Musiques celebrates the genius of Austrian master Franz Schubert. The concert features an exquisite chamber music program for voice, strings and piano on Sunday, Feb. 7 at 4 p.m. on the fifth floor of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.

Introduced by musicologist Dr. Kristi Brown-Montesano, the program will be performed by world-renowned artists David Castillo, baritone, Johnny Lee, violinist, John Walz, cellist, and Francois Chouchan, pianist.

As always, the performance will be followed by a Q & A between the audience and the artists with a French champagne reception and a high tea gourmet buffet catered by Patina.

Directed by French-American concert pianist, CEO and founding artistic director François Chouchan with co-artistic director cellist John Walz, the nine concert series opened the sixth season on Oct. 4 and will close on Sunday, June 12.

The Feb. 7 concert features from F. Schubert “Songs for Baritone & Piano,” “Sonata for Violin & Piano in A Major D 574” and “Piano Trio n. 1 in B Flat Major D 898.”

Inspired by Le Salon de Musique created by Queen Marie-Antoinette in Versailles and by the “Schubertiades” created by Franz Schubert in Vienna, Le Salon de Musiques –Masters Rediscovered is a unique musical experience – one like no other in Los Angeles. By removing the stage and putting the artists next to the audience, each performance is a very personal and intimate experience.
