Introducing the 2016 CV Chamber Board of Directors
Last week the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce installed its 2016 board of directors at Oakmont Country Club. We said good-bye to two directors, Lt. Lola Abrahamian and Principal Doug Dall, thanking them for their volunteerism and expertise. We also thanked Aram Ordubegian for his 2015 presidency. He will remain on the board as past president. We recognized the dedication of 16 continuing directors and we welcomed three new members to the CV Chamber board.
Here is your 2016 board of directors: President Calvin “Kaipo” Chock, Vice President Dwight Sityar, Secretary Robin Goldsworthy, Treasurer Craig Fisher, Past President Aram Ordubegian, Honorary Mayor Chris Aristo and directors Mike Baldwin, Ken Biermann, Warren Boehm, Rev. Beverly Craig, Leonard Ghazarian, Jeero Habeshian, Ella Hambarchian, Dr. Cynthia Livingston, Matt Morelli, James Pak, Steve Pierce, Julia Rabago, Michael Riley and James Speas, DVM.
Many of you have gotten to know our friendly board members at mixers, ribbon cuttings and the dozens of other events we’ve organized in the past. Let me take this opportunity to introduce you to the three new board members.
Rev. Beverly Craig is senior minister at Center for Spiritual Living – La Crescenta. Prior to becoming an ordained minister 10 years ago, she worked for 22 years as an adult education teacher in the areas of business education, geriatrics, nutrition and parent ed in many California school districts. She has actively worked with youth in the area of spiritual education for over 40 years, becoming involved with the United Nations in the late ’70s when the theme was The International Year of the Child. Her personal mission is to do her part in creating peace for the world’s children and their families, both personally and globally. The Chamber provides many opportunities to support the families of the Crescenta Valley. We’re happy to have “Rev. Bev’s” participation.
Matt Morelli has worked on and off at his family’s business, Bonners Rentals, since the age of 15. He graduated from Verdugo Hills High School in 2004. He worked for the In-N-Out chain for six years before coming on staff at Bonners full time. In his management position, he designs and creates new product lines for the party rental division. He looks forward to the coming year serving on the board of directors and to continuing his family’s longstanding partnership with the CV Chamber of Commerce.
James Pak is a founding member of the Korean American Federation of North Los Angeles, serving as its president from 2014-15. He served as co-chair of the Korean Armenian Cultural Festival for two years and president of the Southern California Association of Chunnam National University. His business experience goes back to 1987 when he was president/owner of Hyun Dai Tax & Accounting Service. He then became CEO of Three Star Refrigeration Engineering, Inc. and Carbonic Heat Corporation. Today he is chairman and executive VP of Blue Air Commercial Refrigeration, Inc. We are fortunate to have James’s extensive business and community service experience on the CV Chamber board.
Welcome Beverly Craig, Matt Morelli and James Pak!
