The LCF Coordinating Council is requesting nominees for the 2016 Les Tupper Awards. Each year, since 1969, the Coordinating Council has presented awards to individuals, students and groups who have provided exemplary service to the community. These awards are named in honor of the late Les Tupper, a civic leader who cared deeply about education, youth and enhancing the quality of life in the La Cañada Flintridge community.
Nominations may be submitted by individuals or organizations. Nomination criteria and forms are available online at www.lcfcc.info. Nomination forms are also available at the City Offices, the LCF Chamber of Commerce office and the library.
Criteria include a long term and broad based involvement in community services. Nominations cover the areas of education, youth activities, cultural pursuits, religious, business, and civic or social services.
Qualifications should include demonstrated leadership qualities and roles that bring positive recognition to themselves and to the community.
Nominations can be submitted by mail to LCFCC, Box 264, LCF CA 91012 or by email to nberkuta@aol.com. The submission deadline is Saturday, Feb. 6.
