Artwalk is coming!

Ted Ayala

Have you felt your artistic sensibilities tingling as of late? If so, it’s probably because our second Artwalk of the year is coming soon. In less than a month, the MVCC will be holding its summer Artwalk on Saturday, July 10. From 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., the sidewalks of Honolulu Avenue, from Oceanview Boulevard down to Wickham Way, will be brimming with artists displaying and selling their masterworks. Come down and spend an afternoon with us and be dazzled by the myriad sight of various oil paintings, watercolors, sculptures, photographs, drawings, and so much more. You’ll also have vast opportunity to take home a masterpiece for your own home.
In addition, we’ll also have a lively gathering of various acoustic musicians to provide just the right background for this Saturday afternoon. Come walk on through and listen to musicians playing a wide assortment of styles. Our July Artwalk will be a feast for your ears as well as for your eyes. If you’re an artist or musician interested in participating in our Artwalk, don’t delay. Call the MVCC office and ask for Ted. Full contact details will be displayed at the end of this article.
Last week I mentioned that the MVCC is working on a new directory for 2011. Our MVCC directory is the gateway for the community and visitors to Montrose. Not only will you be listed in our printed directory, but you will also have your business and ad listed online where it can be seen throughout the country. Audri Ferguson, our directory captain, is happy to help you and answer any questions you may have regarding this advertising opportunity. Don’t miss out! Contact Audri by phone at (818) 637-3258 or by email at audri.ferguson@latimes.com and find out how the MVCC directory can be the perfect way to advertise your business.
