Wine Cave Grand Re-Opening & Ribbon Cutting

On Thursday, Feb. 25 the Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce is holding a grand re-opening and ribbon cutting for the Wine Cave in Montrose and you are all invited. There will be wine (of course) and delicious food pairings to sample and enjoy. This is a great opportunity for you to see the makeover of this destination in Montrose. The Wine Cave in Montrose re-opened on Friday, Feb. 5 under new ownership and it is fabulous!

Joseph Tahanian, current owner, is no stranger to the bar scene. He is also co-owner of the trendy 7 Bar Lounge in Downtown L.A., a neighborhood hotspot that offers a fresh menu, happy hour food specials and drinking in an elegant ambiance and chic camaraderie. Joseph wanted to bring that same neighborhood feel here to Montrose. According to Joseph, “The Wine Cave, since its opening in 2009, has been a cozy community destination for fine wines, friends and fun, and we want to make sure it stays that way. We are so excited to share with you our plan to enhance the Wine Cave experience in Montrose. We have a fresh new look, tastings, food, and an expanded wine and beer selection. Our vision is to provide Montrose and its neighboring communities a place where residents and friends gather to socialize in a relaxed ambiance while sipping wine and enjoying hors d’oeuvres.

“The setup is designed with versatility in mind in order to accommodate individuals and couples, as well as larger groups of people whether they are simply out to enjoy an evening or celebrating a special event. We have completely remodeled the inside and have a brand new wood bar, new comfortable bar stools, all new furniture with several different areas to gather with your friends and have beautiful chandeliers hanging overheard. There is even a large table like you find in your dining room to gather your ‘family’ around. It really is a beautiful space. We wanted to create a calm and inviting bar lounge. Something new to the Wine Cave is our ‘small bites’ menu. It is filled with traditional favorites along with exotic new delicacies that pair perfectly with our large selection of local and international wines.”

The “small bites” menu offers a gourmet cheese selection with your choice of any three: brie, fig goat, gorgonzola, Manchego, Asiago, parmesan, fine Italian dry salami, air-dried aged beef basturma, jumbo green Castelvetrano olives, homemade hummus and cracker bread, Mediterranean mixed nuts, fresh seasonal fruit, date walnut delicacies, grape and walnut sweet sujuk (spicy sausage), assorted French macarons and dark chocolate and specialty bread. Happy hour is from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and they have some house selections of $5 per glass. We hope you join us on Thursday, Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. for our ribbon cutting and raise your glass to the Wine Cave.

We would also like to invite you to join the Chamber on Wednesday, March 2 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for our monthly business mixer at KidsArt in Montrose. KidsArt is located in the Montrose Shopping Park at 2264 Honolulu Ave. KidsArt is a quality program where students enjoy learning the skills necessary to draw, paint and create three-dimensional art realistically, progressing step-by-step at their level of ability, to become more competent and skilled at every level of the KidsArt program. Our monthly mixers are a great way to network with business owners in the community and make new contacts for your business. We hope you can join us this month.
