Arpeni Mael from Glendale has been named to the UMass Dartmouth fall 2015 dean’s list. To be named to the dean’s list a student must have a grade point average of 3.2 or higher out of a possible 4.0.

UMass Dartmouth is a 9,500-student, 45,000-alumni campus that prides itself in connecting student learning to discovery and civic engagement, preparing graduates to shape the social and economic fabric of their communities.

Local students were named to the dean’s list at Bucknell University during the fall semester of the 2015-16 academic year. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean’s list recognition.

Stephanie Beck and Brandon Newquist of La Cañada, both graduates of La Cañada High School, were named to the dean’s list.

Located in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, Bucknell University is a highly selective private liberal arts university that offers majors in the arts, engineering, humanities, management, and social and natural sciences, along with broad opportunities outside of class, to its 3,600 undergraduates. Graduate programs are available in select disciplines.

Ryan Browne of La Cañada Flintridge and Arvin Sarkissian of La Crescenta were admitted to Cornell College for the fall 2016 semester.

Cornell College, a selective liberal arts college in Mount Vernon, Iowa, is recognized as one of the “Colleges That Change Lives.”

Andrew Arizmendi, a member of the class of 2016 from Glendale, has been named to the fall 2015 dean’s list at Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore.

In order to qualify for the dean’s list at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.

Established in 1852, Loyola University Maryland is a Catholic, Jesuit comprehensive university comprising Loyola College, home to the University’s arts and sciences programs; the Sellinger School of Business and Management; and the School of Education. Loyola enrolls 3,700 undergraduate and 2,300 graduate students from across the country.
