The Crescenta Valley girls’ varsity Lacrosse team competed in Girls Lacrosse Rose Bowl Jamboree over the weekend of March 4-5. The Lady Falcons won the U.S. Lacrosse Greater L.A. Bracket in the tournament, which took place just outside of the stadium.

The Falcons, in their second year of existence playing lacrosse, defeated Hamilton 13-0, Santa Barbara 9-2 and San Marcos 9-1. Junior team captain Abbey Shecklow recorded 12 goals and four assists in the tournament. Samara Yarned and Leah Crowther each had four goals. The defense, which only gave up three goals combined, was led by Kim Foster.

The team next plays on March 31 at Crescenta Valley High School against an opponent to be determined. Home games last year were held at Rosemont Middle School, but lines for lacrosse have been painted on the new artificial turf field at CVHS. The girls then host Westridge on April 6 and are at La Cañada High School on April 12. All games are at 3:30 p.m.
