TALLON AT FLINTRIDGE BOOKSTORE
Flintridge Bookstore & Coffeehouse welcomes executive coach and feminine leadership expert Monique Svazlian Tallon on April 14 at 7 p.m. Her book “Leading Gracefully: A Woman’s Guide to Confident, Authentic and Effective Leadership” has been described as “a must-read for women. ‘Leading Gracefully’ offers women a unique roadmap to effectively combine feminine strengths with traditional qualities of leadership – an essential and balanced approach in meeting the complex challenges of the 21st century … for any woman who wants to make a bigger impact in the world.” Written for emerging women leaders in business, the book was launched at the Microsoft Global Women’s Conference in Seattle, March 2016.
While working for a tech giant in Silicon Valley, Tallon was faced with a tough decision – should she lead like her male counterparts or try a different approach? In “Leading Gracefully,” Tallon presents neuroscience research that shows how women’s brains are wired for empathy, intuition and collaboration – the same qualities people are looking for in their leaders today. As a result of her extensive research, Tallon has developed a visionary roadmap for women – The Feminine Leadership ModelTM – that plays squarely to women’s strengths.
Whether a senior level executive, a mid-career manager or just starting out, “Leading Gracefully” is a game changer for women who want to get to the next level in their career and life. Through personal stories and those of female executives and entrepreneurs from the world of technology, science, retail and non-profits, readers will learn how to successfully break through gender bias. The book is designed as a self-coaching “how-to” guide, with 15 powerful exercises, tips and resources you can apply right away to gain more confidence, authenticity and effectiveness.
