On May 1, the Shadow Hills Riding Club was the site of a fundraiser, Art at the Ranch, benefitting Watkins VITAL Care Program of La Crescenta. WVCP is a day program for adults with severe autism. The program involves keeping this underserved population engaged in meaningful community integration, job training, self-help and life skills.
The family-friendly art event included live music, performed by local artist Carmine Zeccardi, a petting zoo, a student art exhibit by the students of the Elliott Institute, and 11 professional artists showcasing and selling art to benefit WVCP.
The event was attended by families, supporters and a representative from Congressman Adam Schiff’s office, Teresa Lamb Simpson.
