New Members – July

Jennifer Emery is a photographer, educator, author and motivational speaker.  After 20 years as an award-winning professional photographer, her portfolio is vast.  Check out her website at www.jenniferemery.photo. Jennifer does advertising and industry work, headshots, political photos, beauty shots, school photos … you name it. She and her husband recently moved to La Crescenta from Echo Park. Ignacio Gomez, owner of All Around Painting Co., prefers to be called by his nickname, Nacho. That’s what his many customers have called him since he started the company in 1988, almost 30 years ago. Nacho has earned the trust of Jenkins Property Management (a longtime Chamber member) as well as countless private clients. His ready smile and enthusiasm may just make a client out of you, too! Jeremy’s Coffee Shop is no newcomer to La Crescenta but they’re new to the Chamber. Jeremy Jover has owned the classic coffee shop at the corner of Honolulu and Ramsdell avenues since 1994. My husband and I find ourselves eating breakfast there at least once a month. Many others make it a weekly or daily destination. I can’t get enough of their corned beef hash and poached eggs on rye. And who doesn’t love a place that offers a to-go cup for extra coffee as you’re leaving? Jeremy’s is open most days at 6 a.m. (7 a.m. on Sundays) and serves breakfast, lunch and, on weekdays, dinner. The Glendale Moose Lodge #641 has recently moved its headquarters to 4011 La Crescenta Ave., in the American Legion/VFW Hall. Administrator Don Thompson joined the Chamber to connect with the surrounding community. Once they become fully operational in their new hall, Thompson plans to have an open house for Lodge members and others. Lodge members are encouraged to stay in touch through its website (www.the glendalemoose.com) or by phone (818) 957-7133 to learn about upcoming activities.
