July 31, 1947 – July 16, 2016
Charles “Chuck” Anderson Boone, 68, died peacefully Saturday, July 16 in his home in La Crescenta with his wife, sister and a family friend at his side. All that day, as during many of the days of his life, songs by the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and others were playing.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife Regan; son Tim and his wife Missy; son Lief and his wife Liz; son Joshua and his wife Felicity; son C.J. and his wife Mandy; grandchildren Megan, Brennan, Caleb and Ava-Grace; sister Ann; numerous friends.
Born in Glendale on July 31, 1947, Chuck graduated from Hoover High in 1965. After graduating from Glendale Junior College he earned a B.A. from Art Center College of Design in 1971 where he studied photography. During his professional career, he shot a variety of magazine covers ranging from Road and Track to Rolling Stone. Working with Annie Liebovitz, he photographed numerous celebrities; his favorites were the Rolling Stones and Fleetwood Mac.
Family, travel, laughing and having a good time were his passions. He was active in various local charities.
Memories of and fun stories about Chuck may be shared at a memorial that will be held on Aug. 6 at 4011 Dunsmore Ave., La Crescenta, at 1 p.m. The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence: Brady Campaign, P.O.
