The Glendale Burbank Republican Club recently held a barbeque and rally at the Jeffers estate in La Cañada. Supervisor Mike Antonovich shared with guests his memories of the lives of the Jeffers and their generosity to many different organizations that met at their property over the years. Antonovich then presented a proclamation to their sons.

Sonny Sardo introduced the emcee for the day, Tim Conway Jr., who kept the afternoon lively with his comments while he introduced the many candidates who were present. A surprise visit from radio talk show Larry Elder was one of the highlights of the afternoon.

Guests danced to the music of the Sardo band led by “Love Boat” creator Jeraldine Saunders.
