On Sept. 30, College View School held its 16th annual Walk-A-Wheel-A-Thon. The event received support from community partners including Glendale PD and Therapy Dogs International.

College View School, a public school in the Glendale Unified School District, was opened in 1977 to provide special education services to students with severe intellectual and physical disabilities in Glendale, Burbank, and La Cañada. College View has approximately 65 students ranging in age from 3 to 22.  Students stay at College View as long as it is their appropriate educational setting.

College View aims to integrate students into their neighborhood schools whenever possible. Every year it holds a graduation ceremony that celebrates the students who are aging out at 22 or students who are moving on to other settings or returning to their neighborhood schools.

College View boasts a very supportive PTA. Many parents were in attendance at the Walk-A-Wheel-A-Thon assisting their children and the event. GPD and others cheered the participants
on. The therapy dogs walked alongside the
participants. The funds raised at the event go toward providing activities for the students like field trips and special assemblies.
