The Eagle Rock Trompers Car Club held its annual picnic and car show at Crescenta Valley Park on Saturday, Sept. 12. The club boasts a varied membership that includes residents of Crescenta Valley. An estimated 100-plus members and invited guests came to the park to view the many antique and collectible automobiles.

The Trompers were established in 1945 and are dedicated to racing, building and preserving “old school” hot rods, those dating before 1950.

Club members meet at 8 a.m. every Wednesday at Carrow’s Restaurant at 6040 York Blvd., west of Figueroa St. The meetings are open to anyone interested in hot rods. Many of the cars belonging to club members can be viewed at the Wednesday meetings.
