On Friday, Nov. 11 at 3 p.m. at Two Strike Park, the American Legion Post 288 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 1614 will host a Veterans Day commemoration. This year women from the local community who have served our nation in the United States Armed Forces will be recognized and honored.

The Crescenta Valley High School Air Forces Junior ROTC led by Ltc. Dave Worley will perform “The Armed Forces Medley” honoring all the services of the Armed Forces.

Boy Scout Troop 288, sponsored by the American Legion Post 288, will conduct a flag retirement ceremony. Those who have an American flag that needs to be properly disposed of can bring to the commemoration.

All members of the Crescenta Valley community are invited to attend; seating will be provided.
