Valley View Elementary School and its supportive community collected a record 1,704 food items for the holiday season in only four days. Last year Valley View collected over 1,400 items, by far the most from any school in the district.

Fifth grade student Ryan Frankel from Charlotte Briner’s class donated 91 items that he bought with his own money. He gave his mom 25% of his birthday money to buy food items for the drive. Ryan said he knows he has so much and wanted to share with those who didn’t have as much as he.

Fifth graders in Arus Boggs’ class Alineh and Theodore Baghgedjian donated 142 items. For the last three years, this sister and brother team has brought in more than 100 items for each food drive Valley View has held.

A note of gratitude is given to all of the Valley View families who generously supported this effort by sharing their food, kindness and compassion.
