The Crescenta Valley Town Council December meeting will see the swearing in of the newly elected members. These include Brandon Lee and incumbents Harry Leon and Aram Ordubegian, as well as alternates Kyle Studebaker and incumbents JoAnn Stupakis and Charles Beatty.
Newly elected Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger will perform the swearing in duties.
There will be recognition of those members who will be leaving the council. Cheryl Davis has been on the CVTC for nine years and Dr. Suh has served for six years.
As in all monthly meetings local organizations like the American Legion will speak to the audience about upcoming events. The emergency responders from L.A. County Fire and L.A. County Sheriffs from CV Sheriff’s Station will also share updates of incidents and trends in the area.
CVTC President Leslie Dickson sent an update to CVW concerning Caltrans work on the Foothill (210) Freeway. According to Dickson, there will be construction on the eastbound 210 at Lowell Avenue on-ramp to add arrows and restriping the area to alert motorists of the new merge pattern. The k-rail in this area will be removed sometime before summer.
There will be other closure information shared at the CVTC meeting. The meeting is held tonight, Thursday, at 7 p.m. at the La Crescenta Library, 2809 Foothill Blvd.
