Dilbeck Real Estate held its annual winter clothing drive between Nov. 2 and Dec. 9, donating over 120 bags of warm clothing items and blankets.

Sales partners from Dilbeck’s 14 offices contributed warm clothing and blankets to those in need, benefiting Union Station Homeless Services, The Salvation Army, San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission, Assistance League of Santa Clarita and Fibber McGee Closet National Charity League.

“A few years ago, a former employee asked if we still needed to do the clothing drive, as it was a lot of work. Without hesitation, I said absolutely,” said Mark Dilbeck, president of Dilbeck Real Estate. “It was really important to my dad. When he first started the drive, he shared a story about being cold as a child. Even here in sunny Los Angeles there are so many who seek warmth this time of year. Each time we put on a sweater or a coat, there is someone out there who doesn’t have one. It is important that we continue to share with them.”

The company also held its annual free Santa Photo & Toy Drive event, with over 400 people participating across all offices. Each of the 14 Dilbeck offices opened its doors to the neighboring community, providing a holiday experience with cookies, crafts and, of course, Santa. Participants were encouraged to bring one unwrapped toy to be donated to local non-profit organizations.

“We are so lucky to have a very special Santa. Kids who believe, but may be getting old enough to doubt Santa’s reality, have come to our offices to visit their one, very same, true Santa – who they may have visited for the first time before they could talk,” Dilbeck said. “His beard is real. He is real. The joy he spreads is real. It’s fun to be part of that joy and to share something a bit special at this ‘most wonderful time of the year.’”

The community donated 10 bags of toys benefitting local non-profit organizations including Hillsides, Five-Acres, and Hathaway-Sycamores Child & Family Services.

“Thank you Dilbeck for participating in Hathaway-Sycamores’ Holiday Toy Drive! The children and families that benefit from your generosity are very grateful,” said Andrea Sica, director of Special Events & Community Relations.
